How to Make Your Cell Phone Battery Last Much Longer

Here are some ways that you can make your cell phone battery last quite a long time.

1.Keep your phone cool. A cool phone is a happy phone. Hot phones such as those left in cars or in your pocket use more energy because any electrical circuit is less efficient when hot.

Keep you phone in a cool spot and carry it on a clip outside your pocket if possible and don't leave it in a hot car. Cell phone battery technology has come a long way. Newer phones feature thin batteries that do a remarkable job of storing enough energy for you talk up to a couple of hours.

2.Keep your phone on charge for a long duration. Quick, partial charges create a memory effect in your phone battery and it will cease to charge fully if all you ever do is partially charge it.

3.Use an external antenna or booster. Most phones vary their transmit power according to the strength of the signal. Try to move near a window to get a better signal and this will help your phone battery life. Use an external antenna while in the car if your phone has a jack for one. If not, consider a wireless repeater type cell phone booster for your home or car. Since these boost the signal coming into and out of your phone you will use less battery power.

You can buy external batteries, such as from Energizer that you can plug into your phone and gain some extra talk time in a pinch.

Finally, if you have had your phone for a year or more consider getting a new battery from the phone store. Always return used phone batteries to a recycling center or to your local cell phone store.
